Job Creation Need for Entrepreneurial Development
Jan 2011
Where government jobs are far and few and the corporate sector is not an employer to the extent that it is required, the only solution lies in creating a formidable entrepreneurial force. There are not enough skill development institutions to create a force of entrepreneurs. Besides, there are problems of credit availability, marketing facilities, and centers of knowledge dissemination. Start up organizations can either become ancillaries or producing units in themselves.
Great Success Stories
Ancillaries have become great success stories in some sectors. For example auto ancillaries are providing many fold equipments to the many car manufacturers. They have modernized and upgraded their technology to meet the stiff standards of car producers, many of whom are world famous names.
In the field of exports many small and medium units are doing a remarkable job. But all put together the effort is not sufficient.
A movement for entrepreneurial development needs to be initiated. The government's efforts to assist in this venture are far too insufficient. For example marketing facilitating organizations, like the National Small Industries Corporation(NSIC). Similarly organizations like Small Industries Development Bank of India(SIDBI) need to created.
Due to social rigidities Indian Women are half as likely as men to be entreprenuers .A heartening feature is that women have proved that they too can be successful entrepreneurs. Several efforts are being made to lure women into entrepreneurship. For instance, the state government have set up programmes for educated women to start up small ventures, small the effort is yet significant strides have been made in this direction. Here are some noteworthy examples.
