Mentoring Micro Entrepreneurs: The Second Gear MBA for Non MBAs at Very Affordable Cost
Jan 2011
This is a common issue facing most micro entrepreneurs. Often micro entrepreneurs have micro views about the growth. Not just the simple growth but also the scalable, sustainable and profitable growth of their venture. What is organic growth and what is inorganic growth? These are the areas where micro entrepreneurs have micro approaches which prove stumbling blocks for moving to the next level.
Micro Approach
Before understanding the solutions we need to understand the situation of most of the micro entrepreneurs in India. Typically the micro enterprises are established and operated by one or two professionals with the desire to become first generation entrepreneur. Except some of the cases of the enterprises being established and run the highly educated and experienced professionals, most of the micro enterprises are not run with sufficient professionalism and expertise. It doesn't mean that majority of the first generation entrepreneurs don't have enough expertise and caliber to run their enterprise. But it means, they, in most of the cases and occasions, don't follow the professional approach or don't give professional treatment to the task or issue.
There could be many reasons behind such a situation of the micro enterprises. Majority of them are related to persisting unawareness about the professional treatments to the tasks and management. For example, how to define the growth for their organization, how to scale it, how to ensure sustainable and profitable growth, what is SWOT analysis, uniqueness of their idea, strategies for marketing, finance, HR, publicity, etc.
Mentoring to Micro Entrepreneurs
Then question arises how these micro entrepreneurs can get mentoring to be skilled enough to run their enterprises as professionally as their large counterparts. How these entrepreneurs can afford the cost for such mentoring? Are they primarily able to understand the typical and tough management sutras?
All these problems can be resolved be resolved with 'The Second Gear MBA for Non MBA's mentoring module -1BG', an innovative course that endevours to train the micro entrepreneurs to run their enterprise up to the assurance of the sustainable and profitable growth.
