Our body secrets fluids of about 3-4 liters - bile, saliva, intestinal, pancreatic etc which has various important functions.
The appendix acts like a sieve. Many vitamins are manufactured in the mouth. The life of our skin is 19 – 34 days. Eyes is very important for sight, the retina has 127 million cells rods & cones responsible for sight. The Liver produces 1000 types of enzymes which help in digestion, assimilation, purification and elimination. The good cholesterol (HDL) is made in liver; its malfunction affects sleep and other functions. Kidneys filter 1500 liters daily and maintain acid-alkaline balance of our body.
The nerves, if spread, are 93000 miles in length, its impulses travel 50 meters/ sec. and it is the best networking system of our body. 70% of our body contains water. Our immune system can protect our body from many diseases and disorders naturally. The natural healing forces of our body heal many diseases, fractures and wounds which are unique. Our body has alerting & protective mechanism which combats many disorders and diseases. 25% of our brain contains omega 3 fatty acids (anti-aging) but spoilt by smoking, alcohol and stress. There are much more, the list goes on.
Dr. A. Carrel said, “………. Strength develops by exercises, Leisure engenders degeneration. Intellectual and moral discipline and rejection of the habits herd. We can reconstruct ourselves”.
As rightly said by Dr. Carrel, our body has a great capacity in its natural way to repair, renovate, revitalize, rejuvenate and regenerate but it is so unfortunate that we spoil such an intricate function or the mechanism of the body by clogging and accumulating the toxins which leads to diseases and disorders.
