Need for a Visible Recognition of MSMEs : Indranil Deb

As part of the CIIE, Indranil is a member of the national panel of jury and mentors for the second edition of the “Power of Ideas” campaign organized jointly by the Department of Science & Technology(Government of India) and the Times of India Group.

An investment banker with over seventeen years of experience in the financial services industry, Indranil has a mix of experience of having worked in the areas of Equities Research, Financial Restructuring, Private Equity, M&A and Wealth Management.
Prior to establishing Mobius Strip Capital Advisors in 2008, Indranil was employed with Sagacious Financial Services Ltd.(SFSL) Mumbai as Senior Vice President (M&A, Private Equity Advisory and WMS). Indranil was earlier responsible for developing and strengthening an existing wealth management services business for Angel Broking and set up the Institutional Broking (Equities) business of Atherstone Capital(Asia) in 2006 serving domestic and foreign institutional and HNI equity investors. In all these roles, he was responsible for product development, recruitment, training, sales, relationship management and branding-building.
He has worked with both boutique investment advisory outfits and large fund-based nbfcs and capital market intermediaries as an equity analyst, credit officer, investment advisor, business manager and entrepreneur. The experience gained in starting up businesses, raising Capital, facilitating and selling ipos is significantly well-rounded.
Earlier in his career, he has held positions of Area Manager (Syndications and Fee-based Business) at Wipro Finance Ltd. And Credit Manager at Reliance Capital Ltd. His management background lends itself to strategy and Growth.
Indranil usually engages only with businesses where there is a close fit between his skill set, industry knowledge, experience and interests to pair with growing companies and businesses.
