He replied when asked 'did he ever think of taking to entrepreneurship'?
Dr. Faisal is the first Kashmiri native to have topped the Union Public Service Commission's civil services examination. He acknowledges that he has become an icon for Kashmiri youth.
Before going in for civil services, he also thought of starting his own business in medicinal plantations as Kashmir has a fund of herbal plantations. He also thought of starting a coaching academy and putting up a mobile clinic in Kashmir.
“There is a great scope for entrepreneurship in our country as it has an element of adventure and risk taking,” Faisal said.
Will he take to entrepreneurship ever if an opportunity comes his way? “I have not given up. But as an administrator, I will always encourage the youth and even help them become good entrepreneurs. I am committed to promote entrepreneuship,” he said.
“Today, entrepreneurship is very important as the MSMEs are the backbone of our economy but somehow I feel the obsession with government jobs has not fully died down,” Faisal said.
