Dr. Rashid Al Leem, Director General, Humriyah Free Zone Authority, Sharjah, has appealed to the small and medium business entrepreneurs keen to achieve the global competitive edge to come into the mainstream of regional and global business. “The environment is conducive now and the time has come for all small and medium entrepreneurs everywhere to shed 'localism' and come to the center-stage of economic activity.”

In an interview with SME WORLD, Dr. Rashid who was in Chennai recently, said the Indian economy is one of the fastest growing economies in the world and the Indian SMEs sector holds a great potential to lead the nation in its march towards economic development.

“Going global is very viable for small and medium enterprises now especially at a time when e-commerce and free flow of information through internet is fast gaining ground, ” Dr. Rashid observed.

Dr. Rashid has called upon the Indian SMEs to come to Sharjah to setup their industries in the Free Zone which offers a host of facilities and concession necessary in this globally competitive environment.

Hamriyah Free Zone Authority, Sharjah, has already attracted entrepreneurs from 150 nations across the globe in a relatively short time in the recent past.

I like the feature on HFZA. There are a plenty of good aoportunitites available for SMEs to go global and set up their business in Sharjah. I am sure the kind of facilities made available to the SMEs, the going will be good.
