School of Inspired Leadership: ‘We Create Ethical Business Leaders who are Game Changers'
May 2011
But can entrepreneurship be taught in the confines of classrooms? It is a matter of discussion but one thing is clear that all the successful entrepreneurs have been innovative and creative. Though every child is born with a certain level of creativity but he slightly destroys his creativity or his latent talent with the fears as he grows. Fear of expectation from parents, fear to stay ahead, fear to get good job, fear to be established in life and so on.
Students often rush to do the MBA from the top B-schools but are these B-schools really making true business leaders? Are they providing the kind training which can sharpen their abilities to become business leaders who can eventually become game changers? Probably not, reason is that any student with good analytical ability or a proficiency in subjects like Math or English, need not be a good leader. They can at best try to evaluate the new idea rather than giving a new idea. Therefore, true leaders are something different than the ones being churned out by our B-schools which may impart traditional business information about finance, marketing, HR, technology, supply-chain, operation, etc.
It is obvious that an institution with such an traditional approach can produce leaders who can fit into the current system but can't change the system. They can work in a business environment but they can't establish a new business order.
So, there is a need of an institution which not only understands the qualities and abilities of the true leaders who can be game changers but also can polish their leadership abilities and can give the exceptional and transformational business training.
