Relevance of Marketing Mix for SMEs
Aug 2011
- In selling, you have a product/service which you cajole and convince the customer to buy, Marketing means you create a product or service the buyer needs, likes or wants.
- Selling is cleaning out your inventory before the year end, by organizing sales, price- cutting and other incentives, Marketing is actually a continuous process persuading the client to buy because he needs your product.
- Selling tries to meet annual targets, marketing aims at creating customers for life.
- Selling involves making something you think the market will buy and forcing people to buy it. Marketing is finding out what the market needs then producing and offering it.
- Last but not the least, the selling begins with a product or service, whereas marketing begins with the customer.
