Game Changer for SMEs Growth

lalit khannaBSE  SME Exchange is a good initiative to facilitate generation of financial resources for SME's to sustain and grow their busineses. It is pertinent to realise the ground realities and understand following essential ingredients for this platform to succeed:
  • Total commitment from the various stakeholders.
  • Strong support from the govt. in terms of financial assistance, tax exemptions / lower taxes to make the cost of transactions affordable.
  • Confidence building of the stakeholders through credit rating and good governance practices.
  • Simple compliance proceedures given the limitations of SME's in terms of financial and human resources.
  • Awareness programmes explaining the benefits of listing for the promoters and management of SME's and proper co-ordination between SME exchange, Merchant bankers and promoters to synchronize the objective of this exercise in the best interests of all the participants.
  • Market Makers have the most important role to play and their selection must be made very carefully. 
I sincerely hope and wish that if implemented properly this platform can be the game changer for the SME's growth which can make significant contribution to the economic development of the country.
