Green fleet technology enables the logistics companies to prevent and minimize the greenhouse gases and their impacts. Awareness about green fleet is not at sufficient level among Indian companies. Rather than considering environment in their day to day activities, they concentrate upon profit and margin. Environmental issues are secondary for them. They are less aware of the new technologies compatible with the environment. New technologies are often being invented and quickly adopted in US and European countries but Indians companies take time to adopt it. Regulatory measures for environmental issues are also not strict enough in India.
Pros of greening of fleets
Greening of fleets will definitely increase our flexibility performance and optimise the network because in this way we save the atmosphere and also our earth. We can take example of European and US countries as to how they are benefited with this new technology. We have to save our earth from ozone depletion and green house effect. Problems like global warming and depletion of ozone layer may also be overcome by that. Poisonous gases like Carbon Dioxide will harm the environment very much. By using practice of green fleet and fuels we can save our earth and make it a nice place to live in. Performance of a logistic fleet definitely increases if we use the technique of green fleet. Simultaneously, it also improves the logistic network of India as it is more environment friendly. It’s basic concept is to enhance the environment conditions with flexibility, performance and optimization of the network. Fuel consumption also gets reduces if we use this new environment friendly technology.
Green fleet directly addresses environmental worries
Various environmental problems e.g. global warming, depletion of ozone layer, pollution and destruction of natural resources are main topics which are being discussed on all the environmental platforms. The rising temperature of earth is causing umpteen problems like melting of glaciers amongst others which will further cause rise in the sea level and destroy many countries mainly coastal regions. This situation arises because we exploit our natural resources and increase pollution. We are using Chloro-Floro Carbons in our electrical instruments like ACs and Refrigerators which cause depletion of ozone layer. We are continuously polluting our environment. Practices like industrial drainage to our rivers, air-pollution by vehicles and earth-exploitation are making our earth polluted. Plastic is another factor that is vitiating our environment. Plastic never destroys and hence its limitless use is detrimental to humanity.
