SIDBI and RUDSETI Proud Partners in Entrepreneurship Development Programme

Considering the invaluable support being extended by RUDSETI in successful conduct of entrepreneurship development programmes for the benefit of unemployed youth, a special programme was organized by SIDBI to felicitate RUDSETI for its distinguished service to the MSME Sector on 3rd April 2011 coinciding its completion of 21 years of meaningful service to MSME sector.

RUDSETI bagged the prestigious award as a result of its sustained efforts in promoting the various programmes aimed at promoting entrepreneurship in the country at a grassroots level. With this award another feather has been added in the RUDSETI's cap.

The award ceremony was attended by the 'Board of Directors' of SIDBI. The award was received by K. N. Janardhana, Executive Director, RUDSETI in a glittering function at Lucknow by Smt. Ravneet Kaur, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Finance, GOI, New Delhi.

Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) completed 21 years of service in the promotion and development of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector recently. During the period, the institution has grown into a multi-dimensional development bank providing a wide range of services, besides having set up a multitude of successful associate institutions engaged in diverse range of activities.

Association of RUDSETI with Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI), started modestly in the year 1997-98. The meaningful partnership to achieve the common goal has grown consistently. The support of SIDBI for conducting REDPs and other new initiatives has increased progressively over the years. The number of programmes sponsored and fund disbursed since 1997-98 are as under:

Besides supporting Entrepreneurship Development Programmes (EDPs), SIDBI is also supporting RUDSETI for organizing good number of NGO-Banker Interface, Trainers' Training Programme for NGOs and RUDSET Bazaars.

Rural Industries Programme

RUDSETI along with SIDBI is implementing Rural Industries Programme (RIP) in Udupi District in Karnataka and Shivaganga District in Tamil Nadu to promote viable rural enterprises, to motivate the public to exploit the local resources, to generate employment opportunities, to educate, guide and train the people to setup enterprises and to make continued efforts for arranging credit.
