Intuit GoConnect
Understanding such problems and with objectives to enable the SMEs to stay in touch with their customers, Nokia, a leader of telecom, and Intuit Inc., a leading provider of business and financial management solutions, launched a very innovative service – Intuit GoConnect, a the unique service that can help small businesses strengthen relationships with customers and increase repeat traffic to their business.
Aimed at the millions of Indian micro and small businesses with less than ten employees, Intuit GoConnect makes it easy for users to create personalized messages that resonate with their customers, from a special offer for their birthday to a note to let them know their order has arrived. More effective, less costly and easier to use than alternative manual methods, GoConnect helps micro and small businesses differentiate themselves from the competition through relevant and timely communication.
Intuit GoConnect is a subscription service that works via mobile phone and the Web. The service is available through Nokia Priority Dealers as well as www.intuit.in/goconnect. A six month subscription for Intuit GoConnect costs Rs. 2400 and includes 10,000 SMSs. A year's subscription costs Rs. 3600 and includes 20,000 SMSs. GoConnect is initially available for Nokia C3, Nokia C5, Nokia E71, Nokia E72, Nokia E75 & Nokia 2730 handsets, with more being added at the beginning of December.
An Absolute Communication Tool
Highlighting the SMEs scenario in India, Vipul Sabharwal, sales director, Nokia India said, “Our research shows that there are 35 million SMEs in India and their contribution to GDP is 60 per cent. These SMEs accounts for only 30 per cent of total Indian IT-spend. Almost one third of the total SMEs in India do not use IT or communication solutions to drive their business.”
“On the other side more than 90 per cent communication technologies available in the market either too expensive for SMEs or they are efficient enough to handle them properly. The fact is that the access to information technology has been one of the limiting factors for most small businesses especially when they work in a heterogenous network based environment. They often struggle with finding the appropriate service that helps them to effectively reach out to their customers.”

Terry informed that the service was started in New Delhi and Chandigarh initially but they had planned to reach across the country by 2011.
